Winter

The "Harakiri" - Austria's steepest prepared piste is guaranteed to get your heart racing. But there are not only steep slopes to be mastered; you'll also find sweeping family ski runs here on the 542 km of piste, which also includes deep-snow slopes and easy, gentle hills for beginners - and all that with a snow guarantee.
Snowboarding
No less than 2 snowboard parks provide the absolute kick! The Betterpark on the Hintertux glacier and the Vans Penken Park in the Mayrhofen ski area offer challenges for all levels.
Hintertuxer Glacier
Ski, snowboard, carve and wonder in amazement 365 days a year! Skiing on the Hintertux Glacier is not only particularly attractive because it is the only year-round skiing area in Austria, but also because of its wonderful powder-snow slopes and wide piste!
Snow shoe trekking
The perfect alternative to experience winter first-hand - and in a really leisurely way. Anyone who has already enjoyed the tranquillity and beauty of the landscape while snow shoe trekking will be drawn back to nature time and time again!
Tobogganing & Ice skating
Ready, steady, go! For those looking for a lively toboggan ride, there is a choice of several toboggan runs - with or without taxi transfers. Guaranteed fun on the ice is offered from December to March by the 1,500 sq artificial ice-rink.
Cross-country skiing
Complete a few circuits! 200 km of top prepared trails, some with their own skating track await you in the Zillertal. The valley floor is ideal for beginners; more advanced skiers and all those looking for a sporting challenge will find the terrain they are looking for in Tux with its gentle hills and energy-draining climbs.
